You know what I love about this picture? the pure honesty. We know that this hands down is not the healthiest of meals. Its obvious that this banana split is full of empty calories. Thank you for your honesty Banana Split!(I look forward to seeing you again someday in real life!)
So last month I did a thing. I ate no dairy, sugar, or flour. My carbs consisted of oats and rice, proteins hit the spectrum from beef to hummus and calcium from fields of broccoli (which I still adore) My reason was to see what was causing my sciatic inflammation. Long story longer.....
Thinking I would pick up some yogurt just to start incorporating some dairy back in my diet I was slapped around like a red-headed step child. What a bunch of crap... literally! People please read the labels. I can't believe what liars are out there. Curious which yogurt I enjoyed? The one with one ingredient: Whole Milk! (mic drop)
Folks what I am trying to say is that change is incremental when getting healthy. Pick your battles, enjoy a treat now and then but just know what that treat is made of!
Recipe for the day:
3/4 cup real yogurt
Pint Fresh raspberries
1/4 cup pepitas
1/2 lemon squeezed
I think I may just run this through my ice cream maker tonight? Stay tuned!
