ITS THAT SPECIAL TIME OF THE YEAR!


Now that Easter is over, I am so excited now that road construction season is upon us! Ah the twinkling of those orange barrels ringing in the season of delays and detours, sounds like my health. Wait a second, that is exactly what it is!


I can either rage about it or accept the fact that sometimes our health takes a detour, and getting back on the right highway means we have to be a little patient, a little creative, or even ask for directions. So in the spirit of the season I have to say how happy I am that I asked for directions from the Mapquest of healthcare...The Center for Physical Rehabilitation!


Today I moved as good as some teenagers! Pushing, lifting, pulling all are starting to click with this body! It took a long time to get this far and it will take the rest of my life to keep it moving stronger faster, better! Of course Mapquest would never say"Butts and Boys Tommy" but Wendi sure does! Every time I walk up the stairs, its like muscle memory. So now that The Center and Wendi are putting in those pieces, time for me to share with you just a sample of my pieces(aka killer healthy recipe!)


Flat Iron Perch Tacos!

A perfect serving:

2 perch filets(4-6 ounces lake or ocean perch)

sprinkle of old bay

1 teaspoon olive oil hot in the pan

Sauté on each side for about 2 minutes

now you can throw this on a garden salad with fresh pineapple salsa or tuck it into 2 warm flour or corn tortillas with your favorite shred of veggies(like lettuce, cabbage, zucchini...ANYTHING)!


OH and if you want the famous Calico Beans and Red Rice, well come to Jose Babushkas!
